Themis - Journal of the Australian Women Lawyers

THEMIS is the Journal of the Australian Women Lawyers. In Greek mythology, Themis was one of the original Titans, daughter of Gaia and Uranus. Themis was the embodiment of divine order, law and custom. Themis is portrayed as an impassive woman, blindfolded and holding scales and a sword or cornucopia. When Themis is disregarded, Nemesis brings just and wrathful retribution.
